A number of cities across China are applying to be the next free trade zone after Shanghai free trade zone was launched in September,  Beijing Business Today reported. Tianjin, Shenzhen and Zhejiang have joined the queuw to submit proposals to set up FTZs in Binhai New Area, Qianhai area and Zhoushan city. One or two cities are expected to receive approval to build the second batch of FTZs, which will be launched in the latter half of next year.
