EquinoxO2 Medical has announced development and distribution of its new HALO XP negative pressure wound therapy (NPWT) pump system, HXP2000.

The light weight, portable HALO XP pump system, which combines advanced technology with easy-to-use features, is designed for ambulatory patients.

Untreated chronic wounds are clinically affecting many patients and will increase medical cost from current $113bn to even with competitive bidding starting by the end of 2012, according to the company.
