JBT FoodTech, an American food processing machinery provider owned by JBT, has inked a deal valued in excess of $8m with a global frozen food provider to supply freezing technology solutions.

Under the deal, JBT will supply and integrate new cooking and freezing lines, which will be used for the manufacture of ready to eat products.

JBT FoodTech vice president and division manager Steve Smith said, "This project is another excellent example of how JBT FoodTech partners with our customers to meet their specific end product needs with customized solutions.

"We are very pleased with the confidence this order expresses in JBT's leading cooking and freezing technologies."

The project is scheduled to enter operation in the third quarter of 2014.

In November, the company inked two freezing solutions supply contracts with an Asia-based food processor and a Belgium-based Dicogel-Begro.

JBT designs, manufactures, tests and services technological advanced systems and products for industrial food processing customers through its JBT FoodTech segment and JBT AeroTech segment. It operates in about 25 countries globally.
